  • Mexico, Canada Prepare Rules on Trucker Hours, ELDs: Starting on December 18, Mexican and Canadian truckers operating in the U.S. will be required to use ELDs – and both Mexico and Canada are working on rules that could affect truck driver hours of service enforcement on both sides of the border.
  • Maersk Says Too Early to Predict Financial Impact of Cyberattack: Maersk, one of the world’s biggest container shipping lines, said it was too early to predict the financial impact of last month’s global Petya cyberattack that hit the shipping giant’s computers and delayed cargoes, but that normal operations have resumed at its ports.
  • U.S. Trade Deficit Narrowed 2.3% in May: The U.S. trade deficit narrowed in May as exports rose to their highest level in more than two years. The foreign-trade gap in goods and services narrowed 2.3% in April to a seasonally adjusted $46.51 billion in May.
